Preview Of The New Blackberry Z10 Smart Phone

The BlackBerry Z10 is attractive and well-built, but doesn't set itself dramatically apart from other leading slab-style smartphones. You can Switch your BBM chat to a BBM Video conversation and talk face-to-face with anyone you want to. It's another nice black slab.

Its app library lacks some of the major brands you expect on iOS and Android, which will make it difficult for existing smartphone owners to make the jump.

Man Sentenced To 3-years Imprisonment For Stealing BlackBerry, While N2 Billion Pension Thief Is Freed

A man was sentenced to three years in jail for stealing a telephone handset worth N17, 000 even as pension thief who stole N2billion is freed .

Less than 24 hours after an Abuja High Court sentenced Pension Thief John Yakubu Yusuf to two years in prison for admitting to stealing around N2 billion, an Ikare Magistrate Court in Ondo State has sentenced another man to three years in prison for stealing a telephone handset worth N17, 000.

The Abuja court had on Monday sentenced the former director of the Police Pension Board , John Yakubu Yusuf, to two-year imprisonment.

Mr. Yusuf pleaded guilty to two-count charges of embezzling about N2 billion of the total N33 billion stolen from police pensions. He was, however, given an option of fine of N250, 000 instead of going to jail.

Adepoju Jamiu, 23, living in Ondo was not so lucky. On Tuesday, the Ikare Magistrate Court sentenced him to three years imprisonment for stealing a China Blackberry phone worth N17, 000. Like pension thief Yusuf, Mr. Jamiu also pleaded guilty to the charge.

If the ratio of years of sentence was relative to the amount stolen and the same law was used to try both men, should Mr. Jamiu be jailed 3 years, Mr., Yusuf would have been sentenced to at least 110,000 years in jail.

Not only was Mr. Jamiu given a seemingly incomparable jail sentence, he was not given an option of fine by Chief Magistrate Sunday Adeniyan.

Mr. Jamiu’s crime, the police prosecutor, Aigbojie Amileomen, told the court that the stolen phone belonged to one Suleiman Asimiyi.

While briefing the court on the case, the prosecutor said the accused committed the offence in November 2012 at about 5.30 a.m. at Olukare Central Mosque, Inu Odi, Okela, Ikare.

When the case was read, the accused pleaded guilty as charged. Mr. Adeniyan convicted Mr. Jamiu having found him guilty.

He said Mr. Jamiu’s action violated Section 383(1) and punished him under Section 390(9)of the Criminal Code Cap 37, volume one, laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.

He therefore ordered that Mr. Jamiu should remain in prison for three years without an option of fine.

Pastor Pulls-out Gun On Church Accountant In Benue

The Benue State Police Command, yesterday, arrested the pastor of a new generation church in Katsina-Ala (names withheld) for illegal possession of fire arms and assault on the church’s accountant. Vanguard gathered from sources that the pastor was apprehended with the firearm by men of the Benue State Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, in Katsina-Ala where he allegedly tried to kill the accountant of the church, Mr. Philip Toryila, during a serious disagreement over money.

According to our source, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the pastor ordered the church accountant to handover church monies to him for execution of a project and he refused. The refusal of the accountant angered the pastor who engaged him in a fracas and in the process pulled out a gun on the accountant.

In the process, the accountant shouted for help which attracted the attention of another church official who alerted the police and they quickly drafted some armed men of the squad to the place and arrested the pastor.

The source added that “the accountant sustained a major facial injury and other parts of his body and was quickly rushed to a private hospital in Katsina-Ala where is now receiving treatment. Confirming the story, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Deputy Suprintendent of Police Daniel Ezeala, said,The arrested pastor was brought to the state command and he will soon be charged to court for illegal possession of firearms but we are still conducting investigations into the matter.

South African Woman Invents Anti-Rape Female Condoms 'Rape-aXe' (PHOTO)

An anti-rape female condom using a different design was invented by Sonnet Ehlers, a South African woman.

Ehlers was motivated to create it while working as a blood technician with the South African Blood Transfusion Service, during which time she met many rape victims.

Ehler mentioned that she was inspired to create RAPEX (later renamed to Rape-aXe) when a patient who had been raped stated, “If only I had teeth down there,” suggesting the myth of the vagina dentata. Initially called RapeX, the name was changed in 2006 upon discovering that RAPEX is also an EU warning system against dangerous goodson the market.

The Rape-aXe is a latex sheath embedded with shafts of sharp, inward-facing barbs that would be worn by a woman in her vagina like a female condom. If an attacker were to attempt vaginal rape, his penis would enter the latex sheath and be snagged by the barbs, causing the attacker excruciating pain during withdrawal and giving the victim time to escape. The condom would remain attached to the attacker’s body when he withdrew and could only be removed surgically, which would alert hospital staff and police.

Like most condoms, Rape-aXe also usually prevents pregnancy and the transmission of HIV and sexually transmitted Infections. Rape-aXe was unveiled on August 31, 2005 in South Africa. Although media coverage at the time implied that mass production was due to begin in April 2007, the device has never been marketed to the public and it remains unclear whether the product will ever be available for purchase.

Critics have accused her of developing a medieval device to fight rape. “Yes, my device may be a medieval, but it’s for a medieval deed that has been around for decades,” she said. “I believe something’s got to be done … and this will make some men rethink before they assault a woman.”

''my mother will choose a husband for me'' - Eva alordiah

Nigeria's top female rapper and sasha p rival, Eva is not ready to marry any guy who comes for her hand in marriage except he is approved or 'endorsed' by her mother.

Fast rising female rap artiste, Eva Alordiah, talks with ADEMOLA OLONILUA about her hit track, ‘High’, family, sex and drug abuse among youths

About my weird hairdos

I have always want to be different. I never like to blend in with the crowd. It is not just because of music, I have been like this for a long time. I remember back in the days when my friends were measuring their beauty with the length of their hair. I was not interested then so I cut my hair. I had my hair coloured when I was 15 and my mother did not really mind because I was not bringing trouble to the house and I did not have bad grades. I was just messing with my hair. I have been messing with my hair for a long time. I really just like to be different. As long as what you are doing does not bring shame to the name, Alordiah, and you are focused on school then my parents are okay with you.

Parents’ reaction to choice of career

Because I was in school when my music career started, they did not like my career path. They did not exactly tell me to stop doing music. My father just told me that I had been serious with school for a long time and he hoped that I would not come back home and say I wanted to drop out. He advised me to ensure I finish school. I love school, I have always loved school, I was one the best students in some courses. It was entertaining to me. I just was not on the path of dropping out to do music. Because he understood that, he let me do it, knowing that I had always been good with my grades. I don’t think he really had problems as such. My parents are very sweet and calm. They would let you do what you want. I know that my father can not stand tattoos. That is the one thing I know he can not stand, not that I want to have tattoos. There are boundaries. I don’t think wanting to do music was crossing that boundary with my parents. My parents are very supportive people.

Coping with my academics and music

I was a science student. I was not a book worm but I knew I had to get out of school with good grades. It has been like that for me since primary school. There was a time in primary school that for four straight years straight I was between the first and third position. In secondary school I was in science class and I had very good grades in the subjects I did. The only problem I had was with further mathematics. I did not enjoy that subject at all. It was at Bowen University that music really kicked in and it happened in my final year. That was when I really wanted to start doing rap. It was a tough year because it is a year you have to get out of school without any problems. Luckily for me when I started in school, my CGPA was on a first class basis. I started out with a first class and in school it is either your CGPA increases or drops. It was difficult to increase so I made sure I had a Second Class Upper Degree. The kind of school I finished from doesn’t let you do anything. The only time I could express myself in terms of music was in the school shows which happened like once a year. I never had the temptation to drop out of school. The kind of house I grew up we don’t get things on a platter. We did not have everything that we wanted but we had what we needed. My father would go out of his way to provide for us so we would not be envious of other kids. Knowing that my parents went out of their way for me made me know I had to be my best in school.

On artistes who drop out of school because of music

I would not be a judge of anybody but I do not think that music alone is a good excuse to drop out of school. I personally think that education is very important. I am not saying that education is going to make you be the great person you are going to be. I don’t think that is correct. But I know what is correct is that education is very important and if you have the opportunity to be educated, grab that opportunity. I think there are some people that were not born to adapt to school. There are some people that are so wise that they do not need to go to school for six years to become the great human beings they are supposed to be in the world. That is from a spiritual point of view. I was in school with friends that did not have parents providing for them; I was in school with people who got thrown out because their parents could pay their fees. Knowing that my parents were going through a tough time providing for us, I made it my priority to finish school and with good grades. Not to say that I passed through school because of my parents, I did because I started out well in my life. Why waste all those years of being brilliant in school and then when I get to the top of the ladder I decide to stop? What happens to all the chemistry I have been reading? I knew I would be doing myself a favour finishing what I started.

My early years

I have four siblings, I am the second girl. While growing up, I was a tomboy majorly because of my brothers. By the time I was two years old, I was already cutting my hair. I wore jeans and sneakers all the time. I remember growing up in the North, back then the region was peaceful. There were horses, camels, Fulani herdsmen, lots of mango trees to climb and fences to jump over. I had a lot of male friends and I used to climb trees a lot. I had cuts on my thighs on several occasions while jumping over a fence. There was this fence that blocked us from getting into a compound that had so many mango trees. In the mango season, the mangoes would fall to the ground and we (children) would want to go into the compound to get the mangoes because they were wasting. The North was so rich that everything was everywhere; fruits, meat, they were all everywhere. Because the mangoes were just lying there wasting we would help ourselves with some. I got hurt few times during that quest. I once broke a tooth.

My reaction to the happenings in Northern Nigeria

I lived in Bida, Niger State and it was so safe, so peaceful and warm. The Fulani women would bring fura di nunu in the morning for you. I learnt how to make tuwo. The mallams would guard our houses. When I came to Lagos, it was the first time I saw fences everywhere. Everybody’s house in Lagos is covered up with a high fence. That joy of neighbourhood love is not felt in the city, like I felt it in the North. In the North, we did not have fences; everybody’s house was open to everybody. I was so much fun especially during Sallah. It used to be the best, the kids would run after horses, we would go to the Emir’s palace and he would give us money, lots of coins. It was so much fun, I miss that life.

The issue I have with Eldee

It is difficult talking something I do not know anything about. I actually do not know anything about me getting dropped by his record label. I can not talk about things I do not know about. It happened in 2012; this is 2013, I am moving on, working on my album right now. I can not talk about things that did not happen because if I do, I would be telling you lies.

Why I released a song shortly after the claims of being dropped from Eldee’s record label

I love to do music and when I am held back from doing the music I love to do, my body cringes. Soon as I have the opportunity to do the music that I love to do, I I can not stop myself, I do it. Releasing musical tracks is what I love to do.

Allegations that my song promotes drug use and abuse

That is the misconception people get from my song titled high, which is one of my father’s favourites. If that is one of his favourites, it should tell you that older people understand better than the younger people. The younger generation does not like reading anymore, nobody reads. Everybody is shallow which is one of the reasons why the music we have in the industry is the way it is. I am not surprised that the song is being misinterpreted because that is what the younger generation keeps talking about these days, getting high. If you listen to the lyrics of that song, it is not about using drugs, it was about going through struggles in life. Which is what I was going through and at the end of the day what I really love to do which is my music becomes my getaway. It becomes my high. That was what “High” was all about. My music does not promote drugs and drug abuse, I am not a fan of drug usage. I do not smoke and I do not drink. My music promotes love, unity, peace, I am all about love and happiness.

My relationship

I am single but not searching. My mother is working on that. She is going to get me a husband from the village. I don’t know how the search is going for her though. I think Nigerian men are fine, we have the best crop of men in Nigeria. My major priority is to be focused on necessary things. I don’t see relationships as unnecessary but I see sex as unnecessary. I am not a married woman, it is not something I would wake up in the morning and say I would indulge in it. It was created for married people. It is seen as a part of relationships by this generation because people are influenced by what they see on television and read in magazines. The youths are getting very enlightened.

About my other businesses

My life started as a writer. I was writing stories in class; these stories were in my notebook. One of the notebooks fell into my father’s hands and he thought it was a good story so he was trying to help me get it published. I really thought I would become a superstar writer. It did not happen because I got into school and music came in. When music came, the writing part of me delved into writing music. I was listening to a lot of Eminem and I fell in love with rap. Writing then became writing rap music. After secondary school, while I was waiting for JAMB result, I began to take pictures of myself and kept telling myself I was cute and could model so I got into modeling. That’s where my love for arts and pictures came to the fore. Because I wanted my pictures to look like those of the models on television and in magazines. I began to find out what make-up was and I began to buy make-up products. I taught myself make-up artistry. Now I own a make-up company, Make-up by Orsela, I just really love to paint and paint faces.

15 Tips For Talking To Women And Getting Their Attention

Many men are never taught how to talk to women. Because of this many guys go through life without the ability to attract a woman. Here are 15 tips to help make sure you aren't making mistakes with the women you’d like to attract:

1. You should talk about “emotional” topics like childhood memories, future ambitions, or her passions. These conversation topics will open up her emotional floodgates.

2. Women want a guy who is not afraid to lead her. While talking to a woman take control of the conversation. Never wait for her to dictate what you’ll be talking about.

3. Pay attention to the non verbal cues a woman is giving you. If you’re standing too close to her, accidentally spitting when you talk, or making her feel uncomfortable in any way… she will send you hints. Pay attention to them.

4. Remember this motto “Fun not Funny.” Women are attracted to men who allow them to have fun. Don’t concentrate on having the funniest jokes. Concentrate on showing them the most excitement and enjoyment.

5. Tease women. One of the easiest ways to take a conversation to a fun and flirty level is to begin to tease women. Think back to your time on the playground. In the world of dating… what worked on the playground is effective all over again.

6. Get intimate with her. Women are turned on by men who are not afraid to take a conversation to a personal, intimate level.

7. Use things like “cold reads” to turn women on. Women love to hear opinions about themselves. Tell her what you observe about her.

8. Avoid complimenting a woman too much. Women are turned off by men who come across as “needy.” If you are complimenting a woman too much she will think you’re trying to impress her. Which will have the opposite effect.

9. If you want to know how to talk to women in a way that doesn’t bore them… Avoid asking too many “interview” style questions. Instead state your opinion about things. 10.

Remember: Statements over questions. Instead of saying “where did you grow up?” Say “You don’t look like you grew up around here.” This allows you to make observations about her and express your personality.

11. Don’t hide your identity. Don’t be afraid to talk about whatever you’re passionate about.

12. Never compliment her on her eyes, looks, or body.

13. Say something that lets her know that you view her in a “intimate” way. If you don’t, you run the risk of winding up in the “friend zone”.

14. Use conversation “games” to keep the mood fun and flirtatious. Games can be anything like “truth or dare” or to less extreme games like the “5 questions game”.

15. Don’t give away your hand so fast. Women like men who are a challenge. If you want to keep a woman’s interest she has to feel like she is slowly winning you over. If she thinks you’re too easy… she’ll lose interest.

- Source

N.B: The best way to think about how to talk to women is to think about what kind of fun, playful, and intimate conversation you would most enjoy. Talking to a woman doesn’t have to be difficult. You just need to be aware of what they are turned on by and what turns them off. Follow the list above and you’ll do just fine.

I don't know the University it was produced from, but the car is a project by mechanical engineering students in one of the Nigerian Universities.

The car was driven on their defence day. I think they did a good job, coming out of Nigeria, I must say I am very impressed.

What is your thoughts on this? Impressive or not?

THERE was confusion on Saturday morning around Adekunle axis of the Third Mainland Bridge, when a vehicle plunged into the lagoon. The lone casualty was, however, rescued by a team of divers and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
The situation created a serious traffic gridlock along the ever busy bridge as some drivers tried to manoeuvre through the jam.
Sunday Tribune gathered that the vehicle, a Toyota Siena space bus, was heading towards the mainland when it skidded off the road and plunged into the lagoon.
Local fishermen and divers sprang into action and after about 20 to 30 minutes, the vehicle was located. The victim was first rescued and taken away to an undisclosed hospital where he was said to be receiving treatment.

'How Don Jazzy changed my life' - T.O.C

Below is a mail I got from 19 year old Tochi Oyeoku
My name is Tochy Oyeoku (TOC). am an upcoming singer student in Bells University. When I left my house for EME album launch party at club deuces couple of months back, I didn't know I was going to meet my break through. I met Don Jazzy and we spoke for a bit and he asked me to give him a call so we can continue our discussion some other time. His private number was like a huge asset for me, I crammed it immediately and saved it on my two phones, I kept on calling and sending text messages, so sad no one was picking, no text was replied either. At a stage I lost all hope and continued my Under G striving.
See the rest after the cut...

One blessed day I was about to doze off when my phone started vibrating. I almost ignored the call to get back to whoever it is when I wake up, looking on my phone screen I saw "don jazzy" you needed to have seen how I sat up at once, the sleep flew away like a bird that escaped from her cage. I booked an appointment and went to his house.

What a wonderful mansion? I said as I stepped into his compound. He asked me to play my works, afterwards he complained I sound like Wizkid and Dammykrane which isn't far from what  Dr. Sid, Wande and DPrince who he said I have soo much resemblance with are doing. I pleaded to him to give me just 30 seconds to freestyle there and then in his studio, I guess he saw the zeal and desperateness in me "T.O.C am going to give you an amount of money to work with big producers in the industry" like Sarz, Samklef and J-sleek, for the past 5years I haven't been that happy. I didn't know how to start expressing my feelings, should I kneel down or lie down. The joy was just too overwhelming. I kept on saying thank you sir! I quickly dropped my account number for him. The next morning. I received an alert from Mavin Records! (don't worry about the amount ;) What more can I say? Don jazzy is a blessing am forever grateful

Now I have songs produced by Sarz, Samklef, and some other bad ass producers, one of them just dropped today produced  by Samklef. Find the song, As I Am, below...
