Are there mosquitoes in London?

Tonto Dikeh posted these photos on Instagram today showing off the spots on her face and claiming they are mosquito bites. Are there mosquitoes in London? This didn't go down well with some of her fans. One of them was fast to tweet:

It's a reaction to one of your skin care products especially the ones that bleach.
Another one said;
